Bittersweet

Okay so what is with them postponing the newest Harry Potter movie until next July? I think that is just crazy..

It is however a little "bittersweet" Although I'll be waiting for Harry Potter to come out, TWILIGHT has decided to take advantage and release on November 21st instead of December 12. 3 weeks early! I'm so excited!!

A friend of mine at work, Kelly, and I are a little obsessed with the movie lately. Robert Pattinson hasn't been getting positive feedback about him playing the role of Edward. I have to say, he isn't what I imagined, but could they really find someone to portray the true Edward in all of our minds/hearts?? I don't think so..

There have been some pictures and parts of the trailer where I question if Robert will do a good job playing him, but then again in some he looks amazing. I'm just going to go to the movie with one thought in mind.. "Book to movie films never get everything right!" I've heard a lot of people say they aren't excited to see the movie because it will ruin the book. That's why I'm going to the movie with the mind set of I've never read the book. So it won't ruin anything for me.

I just can't wait to see how they pull it off!

Here are some photos that my friend Kelly and I have found while at work. We think Robert Pattinson looks really good in these photos!

This is my favorite.. I know it looks dark, but I think he looks HOT!

Robert Pattinson (Edward) and Kristen Stewart (Bella)

This picture is Kelly G and my favorite, it's hanging in between our two desks.

Nice!

Okay you can say that I'm pathetic, don't worry I will agree with you. I can't help but get excited okay! :)

Charlonian Tea Party 2008

As most of you already know, my little sister Jessica is on the Jordan High Drill Team, the Charlonians. Every year, right before school starts, the team gets together for the "Char Tea Party" This is an event that has taken place every year since the 1950's. Usually, this is a tea party for the dancers and their mothers. Luckily for Erica, Robyn and myself, they decided to open it up to sisters this year! It was held on August 13th at La Caille, an beautiful restaurant hidden by amazing gardens. This place is classy, valet parking and everything. :)
We started the day off with Dad taking pictures of all of the Charlonians and their families and then of the Charlonians together. Jessica quizzed me on all of the dancers names and grade. I am determined to know them all this year so that when they perform I will know all of them. Instead of just saying "Hey there is Jessica and um.. the other girls"

As I said before, La Caille is a very elegant very pristine place to eat. I had to have Dad remind me what forks/spoon to use first.

Our Menu

Salad; Romaine Hearts topped with a creamy dressing and shredded cheese. so yummy!

Entree; Choice of Salmon or Chicken. I chose the chicken, not a big fan of salmon. It was delicious! It came with red potatoes and brocolli, which my sister Robyn thought was absolutely divine.

Dessert; vanilla ice cream wrapped in a crepe, topped with cocoa sauce and powder.

Extra Treat! Chocolate covered strawberries made to look like tuxes. my favorite!

Following the delicious meal, we had a prize drawing where all of the dancers and their mothers were entered in. They got some pretty cool stuff. Nancy also brought cupcakes that were so delicious. They even had little edible stars on top!

I'm just so happy for Jessica because I know she is doing something that she loves. I swear every time I watch her perform it gives me chills because you can just see in her face that she loves to dance. Thanks to Nancy for allowing me to go and be apart of this experience. I'll probably never be able to go and afford La Caille, so I was so glad that I got the opportunity to try it.

Isn't she cute? I love you Jessica!

We pull of the hats pretty well I'd have to say!

Always have to have a funny face!

New Home

That's right!!

As most of you may have already heard, Kelly and I are buying a home with my sister Erica and her husband Joe. This is a very exciting time for us, but it can also be very stressful. Well stressful for me I guess! The other 3 are really keeping calm. There is so much to say and don't worry, I'll have many posts about the house as soon as we move in. I just don't want to celebrate until we sign our closing documents and the keys are in our hands. I'm just trying to keep my mind at ease.

If you'd like to read more about the house, please go to my Family and Friends list and click on "Joe and Erica" My sister has written a more indepth post. :)

Ducks in a row?

Okay, I was in formed that my latest blog may have concerned some of my family/friends that I don't have all of my ducks in a row. I just want to let everyone know that I have all of my ducks in a row, I'm just not motivated to keep it that way. I'm sorry, I guess I just really needed to vent about where I'm going in life and if I'll ever be motivated to get there.

I've decided to stay with Marriott of course and even looking into getting a new position that pays better. I'm still thinking about going to Ream's just to work a couple of days a week to help contribute more to paying off some bills. Again, I hope I didn't sound like I was a terrible person who is up to her knees in debt.. I'm really not. I just wanted to get bills paid faster.

Love to all!

Second Job?

So I'm debating with myself on whether or not to get a second job. Kelly and I are wanting to get out of apartment living soon and we have some debts we need to pay, especially from the wedding. I currently work for Marriott Vacation Club and have been for the past year and a half. There is a lot of room for advancement, but some positions I don't know if I am quite ready for. So I could be making more money, but I choose not to due to my insecurities about what I want to even do. So I thought in the mean time, why not go talk to my 'ol buddy Casey at Ream's. For those of you who don't know, I worked for Ream's for 4 1/2 years. Wasn't the best job in the world, but it paid the bills at the time and I met my husband there. I was thinking about maybe going back to work there maybe 3 or 4 days a week for like 5 hour shifts. I figure if I did that I could pay off some of my debts by this Christmas.. depending on if they'll even hire me back on with what I was making when I left. Plus I would have to request a really strict schedule, but it would be an extra $400, maybe $500 a month. It doesn't seem like a lot, but it would definitely help with my David's Bridal credit card. :) I guess I really can't blame my hourly wage on me not being able to pay the bills. I have been very lazy lately. I don't know why, but I am not motivated to go to work. My job is very flexible, meaning if it is slow during the day, my manager will send me home. (not getting paid for missed hours of course) I've also gotten into the habit of calling off whenever I don't "feel like" working. But even if I stuck with working my 40 hrs a week, I would still not be paying off my debts as fast as I would want to.

So there's my internal debate.. Do I get another job to help pay off my debt faster? Or do I stay with my 40 week and pay them off in time? Why do these decisions have to be so difficult! I really want to get my debts paid, but do I really want to sacrifice my time at home? Would it be worth it in the end? What should I do?

Memory Lane

Such a cute post, I had to keep it going. Thanks Kelly!

Here are your instructions: 1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I have had together. It can be a memory with me or Kelly (or both). It doesn't matter if you knew me/us a little or a lot, anything you remember! 2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.

I can't wait to read all of the wonderful memories and then in return leave a memory I've had with you!

Tag- I'm it!

Okay, it's my turn! Sorry it took awhile Erica.

#1 Inside the Fridge

Looks nice right? Of course we have your basics; Milk, Eggs, Butter, OJ and of course Leftovers!

#2 Kitchen Sink

Okay okay, it was my turn to do dishes.. But if I do say so myself that is one clean dirty sink.

#3 Closet

My favorite closet is my own! Look at my clothes! (and yes, I color coordinate my shirts)

#4 Toilet

Yep.. That's my toilet. Nice huh?

#5 Favorite Shoes

Flip-Flops! I wear them all year 'round!

#6 Laundry Pile

A mess, I know. But it is called a laundry "pile" for a reason right? You didn't tell me to take a picture of my "folded clothes." :oP

#7 Favorite Room

Our Living Room! Probably because it is the one room that we ALWAYS keep clean, you know just in case we have guests.

#8 Where the Kiddos are

Can you see her? THERE SHE IS! Yep, that's Kittie.. Asleep on her blankie.. what's new? Kittie isn't a people person so most of our friends and even family have never seen her. She'll hide when someone shows up. But she is real.. that's her!

#9 Self Portrait

If you've done this TAG thing, this picture is probably the only one you took over and over and over again. Well at least I did! It's hard to take these by yourself!

#10 Where I'd rather be

DISNEYLAND!! With my sweetie of course!

Alright! There you have it. I want to get my co-workers in on this, so let me start off by TAGGING the 3 A's!

Amanda, Annalisa and Ashley! You girls are up!

too many slideshows?

So I have recieved comments from my sisters stating that I have TOO many slideshows on my blog. What do you think? I don't want to have a ton, but it is such an easy way for you guys to view all of my photos without taking up the entire page. I guess what I should do is write a few blogs in between so it doesn't look like the page is completely slideshows.

I will tell you one thing though, if I have many photos to show you for one occasion, I'll be using a slideshow! :)
