Summit Entertainment Announces ...

Today in Los Angeles, CA Summit Entertainment announced that the studio is officially moving forward with the production of New Moon, the second installment of its filmed franchise Twilight.

And why wouldn't they decided to continue making the book series into movies? Twilight grossed a staggering $35.7 million dollars yesterday taking the spot of the second biggest opening day gross outside summer hit Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

As you would already assume, I'm ecstatic about this news. I absolutely loved Twilight and can't wait to see what they do with New Moon, even though it was my least favorite of the 4 books. Not a Jacob fan!

So I have an obsession, at least I admit it! Besides, I think I'm going through with drawls not having my Twilight countdown on my blog.. I guess I like having something to look forward to.

Andee's Twilight Review

Twilight: The Movie

4.5 out of 5 stars*

I have to say, I absolutely loved the movie. I loved everything about it! I loved the actors, the humor.. everything. So why didn't I give it a full 5 stars? There are 2 reasons .. #1: The movie didn't follow the book exactly. They left parts out, added stuff in .. which was to be expected. #2: It did have it's cheesy moments. Some of the actors may have pushed their roles a little too much.

However, I still thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It was surprisingly funny, in a good way! There was a lot of humor .. Mike Newton was hilarious! Also, I really liked the fact that the actors played teenagers .. they acted like teenagers, which they are supposed to be. I thought they did a great job with the casting. Emmett, Mike, Jessica were perfect. I liked Jasper, but Erica and Moffitt may not agree with me. All in all, everyone was perfect for their role! Especially Robert. For those who didn't like Robert Pattinson has Edward, I hope if you see the movie .. I thought he did an excellent job, better than I expected. My main worry was that the movie wouldn't be able to capture the passion that Bella and Edward felt for each other, the unconditional love .. but I think they did a beautiful job at portraying that passion. Robert was amazing .. so hot! Loved it!

I did mention that they left stuff out / added new stuff .. but all in all they followed the story lin e very well. I'm not going to get too much into it, because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. Well, I mean .. if you've read the book you know what happens, but I don't want to spoil the movie.

Yes, I will go see this movie again .. Most likely this weekend! Hopefully I can convince Kelly to go see it with me, I really think he would enjoy it! Erica and I both want to see if we can get Joe and Kelly to go with us, so wish us luck!

Final Verdict: Twilight 4.5 out of 5 stars! Better than I imagined even with the changes! Can't wait to see it again and anxiously waiting for them to continue with New Moon!

Twilight Midnight Showing!

It's almost here! The movie that I've been waiting for is almost here! I can't explain how excited I am! Alas, not everyone is excited to see this movie. Unlike some people I know cough co-workers cough I'm going to this movie with an open mind! Yea, there are going to be some things that don't agree with the book, yea there going to leave some things out.. but so what?! It's a movie! Plus, the cast includes some good looking men!

I needed to see this movie as soon as possible! I didn't like the feeling of knowing that millions of people would see it before I got the chance! So the girls of the family decided to make it a Girls Night Out! We were able to get some really great seats at a 12:10 AM 11/21 Friday morning showing at Jordan Commons. Reserved seating, it really is the best thing! This way we won't have to get there 4 hours early to get a decent seat. We can even go out for ice cream before the show! Yummy!!

Call me lame, call me a dork, I don't care! I'm excited for this movie and no one can take that away from me!

TWILIGHT MOVIE, DON'T LET ME DOWN!

The white seats! Those are ours!

Halloween '08

Halloween this year was nothing really special. We didn't go all out on Halloween costumes and we weren't invited to any fun Halloween Parties.. We're pretty lame! However I did end up stopping by my Mom's house to see Jesse II in his Dragon costume! So cute! Everytime he'd look at my face, he'd say "Andee, your a cat!" Gotta love that boy!

Last minute decisions; Kelly decided to dress up as a crazy bum complete with his painted clown face and I ran to the store and picked up a Tiger Set (Ears & Tail) So since we really didn't have anywhere to go, we decided to stay home, order in some Domino's Pizza and watch a scary movie while passing out candy. Kelly did buy a bag of 100 pieces of misc. candy, but we ended up with more than half of it left over. Not very many trick or treaters in our neighborhood. We even had 5 pumpkins on our porch that we never got around to carving. Kelly and I ended up taking the into the garage and doing a "Fast Carving!" Basically cut out the top and a face.. We didn't take out any seeds or anything! Worked out great!

So what do you do when there are no Trick or Treaters? You eat as much candy as possible, hang out on the front porch, and take random photos!

Kelly was getting sick of taking "Blog Pictures"

In the end, we didn't do anything too special.. but just spending some time with my sweetie, goofing around by ourselves made it a Halloween to remember!
