Second Job?
wedding. I currently work for Marriott Vacation Club and have been for the past year and a half. There is a lot of room for advancement, but some positions I don't know if I am quite ready for. So I could be making more money, but I choose not to due to my insecurities about what I want to even do. So I thought in the mean time, why not go talk to my 'ol buddy Casey at Ream's. For those of you who don't know, I worked for Ream's for 4 1/2 years. Wasn't the best job in the world, but it paid the bills at the time and I met my husband there. I was thinking about maybe going back to work there maybe 3 or 4 days a week for like 5 h
our shifts. I figure if I did that I could pay off some of my debts by this Christmas.. depending on if they'll even hire me back on with what I was making when I left. Plus I would have to request a really strict schedule, but it would be an extra $400, maybe $500 a month. It doesn't seem like a lot, but it would definitely help with my David's Bridal credit card. :) I guess I really can't blame my hourly wage on me not being able to pay the bills. I have been very lazy lately. I don't know why, but I am not motivated to go to work. My job is very flexible, meaning if it is slow during the day, my manager will send me home. (not getting paid for missed hours of course) I've also gotten into the habit of calling off whenever I don't "feel like" working. But even if I stuck with working my 40 hrs a week, I would still not be paying off my debts as fast as I would want to. Thursday, July 17, 2008
Memory Lane
Here are your instructions: 1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I have had together. It can be a memory with me or Kelly (or both). It doesn't matter if you knew me/us a little or a lot, anything you remember! 2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.I can't wait to read all of the wonderful memories and then in return leave a memory I've had with you!
Tag- I'm it!
#1 Inside the Fridge
Looks nice right? Of course we have your basics; Milk, Eggs, Butter, OJ and of course Leftovers!
#2 Kitchen Sink
Okay okay, it was my turn to do dishes.. But if I do say so myself that is one clean dirty sink.
#3 Closet
My favorite closet is my own! Look at my clothes! (and yes, I color coordinate my shirts)
#4 Toilet
Yep.. That's my toilet. Nice huh?
#5 Favorite Shoes
Flip-Flops! I wear them all year 'round!
#6 Laundry Pile
A mess, I know. But it is called a laundry "pile" for a reason right? You didn't tell me to take a picture of my "folded clothes." :oP
#7 Favorite Room
Our Living Room! Probably because it is the one room that we ALWAYS keep clean, you know just in case we have guests.
#8 Where the Kiddos are
Can you see her? THERE SHE IS! Yep, that's Kittie.. Asleep on her blankie.. what's new? Kittie isn't a people person so most of our friends and even family have never seen her. She'll hide when someone shows up. But she is real.. that's her!
#9 Self Portrait
If you've done this TAG thing, this picture is probably the only one you took over and over and over again. Well at least I did! It's hard to take these by yourself!
#10 Where I'd rather be

DISNEYLAND!! With my sweetie of course!
Alright! There you have it. I want to get my co-workers in on this, so let me start off by TAGGING the 3 A's!
Amanda, Annalisa and Ashley! You girls are up!

Wedding Traditions
Something Borrowed, Something Blue.
Something Old = A 1979 Penny & A 1986 Penny
--- When I worked at Ream's, I had a lot of spare time on my hands, only doing serious work for about 1 hr of my 8 hr shift. One day I was determined to find a 1979 (Kelly's birth year) and a 1986 (my birthy year) penny. I guess I just wanted to keep them for good luck. After I was able to find them, it didn't take long being that I worked in a grocery store, I took a hot glue gun and glued them together, the year sides facing out. At the time it was just something to occupy my time.. but I found it in my dresser drawer last night and decided that would be my "Something Old" I'll hide it in my bra or something.
Something New = My Dress
--- Everything I am wearing can classify as something new. But I figured the dress was the best answer.
Something Borrowed = One of Erica's Toe Rings
--- I already have all of my jewelry from my necklace to a bracelet and I really didn't want to wear another ring on my hands.. just the one. So we were thinking and Erica bought a lot of toe rings just recently so.. there we go! A cute little ring to show off my toes in my flip flop heels! (Which I will only be wearing for the ceremony, in which after I move on to flip flop slippers!)
Something Blue = My Garter
--- That's right! My Maid of Honor came thru on this one. She got me a really cute white garter with a blue bow. It also has pearls on it!! I love the pearls. There are on everything from the ring pillow, my cake, all the ladies jewelry and now the garter. Way to be Jessie!!
So there you have it...

Our Wedding!

It's Finally Here!!
I can not believe that it is already the end of May and that I'm getting married tomorrow! I mean I've been talking about it so much recently that I haven't really sat back and said, "You are getting married!" I think it finally hit me today. There are so many last minute details that we have to get done today because we won't have time tomorrow. Kelly and I are getting up early to have breakfast with my Mom and Kelly then off to the nail salon for my mom and me. After that I'm to head straight to my Mom's house to start preparations. Erica is being kind enough to do everyone's hair, even make up. She has even planned for reinforcements. Her friend Elizabeth is set to come and help. I don't know if I could have asked for a more helpful family. Everyone has been there for me and continues to amaze me with their love and support!
Everything again so far as moved forward without fail.. We did however run into a snag yesterday when we went to pick up the guys tuxedos. Unfortunately when Kelly tried his on, we came to find that the pants were about 2 inches to short. I mean it looks great if we were planning to say "I DO" in a pond or a flash flood. So that's a problem that we are going to have fixed today. We are also trying to get a hold of Mike, the best man, so that he can go with us to Men's Wearhouse and make sure his tux his okay. Let's cross our fingers for Kjell's tux, Kelly's father. He lives in Randolph, Utah and won't try on the tux until right before the ceremony! I'm trying to remain positive, which isn't easy being me. But Kelly and all of my family are helping.
Well there's more to come.. Lets just hope this last day runs by smoothly.
