My Main Man

I may be a fan of Edward from Twilight, but the only man in my life is Kelly Jay Hellstrom!

Just wanted to give a shout out to the best husband in the world. Kelly always keeps me laughing! He is always there for me, always staying positive.. Let's face it, Kelly keeps me sane! I'm so lucky to have him and I wouldn't trade him in for any fictional character in the world.

Kelly, I love you more!

What is it about the "Bad Boy?"

Please introduce yourself to Cam Gigandet aka James in upcoming Twilight Movie. You may recognize him from his latest film Never Back Down or the Fox hit The O.C.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the series, James is the villain in the first book. Unlike Edward, James lust for Bella's blood is strictly carnivorous and threatens her life more than once.

So what is it about the "Bad Boy?" Is it the danger? The mystery? Or is it just the want of something different from our every day? Whatever way you look at it, we love to hate 'em!

Here's just a taste.. Keep in mind that the last picture is Cam playing Twilight character James.. His hair definitely needs a comb through, but he is still a good looking man!

Having Cam play James in Twilight is an extra bonus, just more eye candy! I'm still an Edward fan.. but I'm always open to something new and exciting!

Steal a Vacuum?

Most of you know that Kelly and I have recently moved out, but we are still under a lease at James Pointe Apartments until October. We haven't been back to the apartment for about a week, but I asked Kelly to stop by there after work today to check the mail and pick up a few things that we left behind.

Kelly went to check on the place and found the door unlocked. What?! How could that be possible? Kelly and I made sure that we locked both the dead bolt and the door knob. Kelly even placed a bottle on the other side of the door and it was gone. I'm pretty sure you know where I'm going with this due to the title of the blog. Someone stole our vacuum cleaner! There wasn't anything else taken, but our vacuum cleaner was no where to be found. It wouldn't be such a big deal if the vacuum cleaner wasn't brand new.. a gift we bought ourselves for our wedding. Yea, it wasn't a very expensive one, but it was new and we really like it.

Kelly and I can't wait to get James Pointe behind us.. We are so sick of the management there. Kelly even went in and tried to talk to the manager, who didn't even know we were buying out of our lease. Which I found odd because I presented a letter to them at the first of the month stating we'd be out by September 30th. Shouldn't the manager know these things?

Kelly went and talked to her and it apparantly got pretty heated. The manager says that there is absolutely nothing she can do, because they can't PROVE we had a vacuum in there. Are you serious?! You think that if we were going to lie about property being stolen, we'd say like a TV, CD's or even Movies. Does she really think we are lying about a vacuum cleaner? Kelly started to get very angry and finally lost it. 2 and 1/2 years of putting up with James Pointe's crap was finally enough. Kelly stormed out of the office, but not before telling a young couple in the lobby that if they were considering moving in, they shouldn't.

I called and talked to the manager, apologizing for my husbands behavior. Even though it was justified with all of the stuff we've been through. I explained to her that we'd be coming by this next week to give them the buy out and walk through our apartment with them. You know to check and see if there is any damage we caused to the apartment. Even if there was, I'm not giving them another dime! I just can't wait until we can put James Pointe behind us.

*sniff sniff* I hope we get over the tradegy of losing our new vacuum and get on with our lives as soon as possible. *sniff sniff*

National Chocolate Milkshake Day

Yes, that is right! September 12th is National Chocolate Milkshake Day. Chocolate Milkshake Day is an opportunity for us chocoholoics to savor. The weather may have cooled off, but our appetite for chocolate, specifically chocolate milkshakes, hasn't cooled off one bit. What a great day this will be! Simply combine a little milk, chocolate ice cream, add some extra chocolate syrup, and mix it well in a blender. Not that hard to satisfy your chocolate desires. On a diet? Not today! Treat yourself, you deserve it.

Bottoms up!

New Obsession?

House of Night to replace Twilight??

I think Erica is a little sick and tired of me being completely obsessed with the Twilight Book Series and the upcoming movie, that she has given me a new book to read. It's another book based on vampires, or as they say vampyres. It's the House of Night Series, first book entitled Marked. Erica wants me to branch out and realize that there are other fictional characters that deserve my attention, other than Edward. I think that is insane, Edward is my one and only.. but I decided to take her up on the challange. I DO need to find a new book to read, I have gone a little crazy. I didn't openly announce my new blog, but my friend at work, Kelly and I have started a new blog. You can find the link on my page under my 'favorite links' named Edward Cullen. What can I say? Kelly and I are in love and have a few extra hours at work. But again, attention away from Twilight. I started reading the first book of the House of Night Series, Marked this weekend and it is really strange.. but I can't stop reading. Marked is the first of four books; Marked, Betrayed, Chosen and Untamed. (Untamed not pictured)

It is very different from the Twilight vampires. To me, I consider it the Harry Potter of vampire books. In this series, you do not become a vampyre from a bite.. you get "marked" by a vampyre called a Tracker. And when I say marked, I really mean marked.. fter the Tracker finds you, you receive an outline of a cresent moon tattoo on your forehead. After being marked, you then must go the "House of Night" a private school for those chosen and you must stay there for 4 years during the transition, which some do not survive.

I'm not that far into it and will let you guys know how I like it! But will this be a new obsession? Will I have to read ALL of the series and fall in love? Okay, so I may have to read all of the books, but come on.. Love someone other than Edward? Not a chance! :)

If you guys want more info on this series they do have a website. House of Night www.houseofnightseries.com

Amazing Birthday Poster

I love my co-workers! Tomorrow is my birthday but I've taken the day off.. so when I got into work this morning I had my desk decorated with a Happy Birthday sign and Pink crepe paper, my favorite color.

I had to share my birthday poster with you guys because the pictures my friends at work put on them just brought many smiles to my face! (remember these are the actual photos on my birthday poster)

My idol! When great cartoons were on Saturday mornings! Remember Animaniacs? Pinky and the Brain? Awesome!

Who doesn't love My Little Pony?

The Goonies! The movie I was named from and the one I love so much! Sloth had to wish me a Happy Birthday!

Of course my recent obsession, Robert Pattinson.
Comment bubble was added having him say
"So, as discussed, I am not allowed to wish you a
happy birthday, is that correct?"
Direct Quote!

It's over and I'm sore!

Moving = Sore Body! It really shows how out of shape I am, when moving boxes/furniture all day Saturday has really taken a toll on my body. How weird is it that my fingers hurt? How does that happen? My neck, back, legs and arms are so tense.. I guess I really don't know how to use my muscles correctly.

Thanks to the family who did come out and help us move.. Jesse, Kalie, Kelly, Dad, Nancy and even Mom with her arm in a sling. Little Jesse even helped out with carrying some items to the trailer, but I think he had a better time playing in the mud. Thanks also to Erica and Joe's friends; Geoff, Chris and Wendy. It was great to have so many extra hands and it really went a lot faster with all of the help.

If only we had everyone to help us unpack! Just kidding.. we are pretty much done with the unpacking. Kelly was really excited and wanted everything done this weekend. We may do a lot of rearranging, but at least we have everything out of the boxes. We only have a few things left to unpack, mostly decor and spare bedroom stuff. We have yet to know where we are putting some stuff and we weren't able to hang any decor over the weekend.

I'm excited for this upcoming weekend. My birthday is on Friday, Kelly and I are going to Wendover to celebrate then we will spend the weekend doing house chores. Kelly spent most of last night in the backyard ripping up weeds and tearing down ivy.. He is SO excited to have a yard and can't wait to get started. While Kelly is outside this next weekend, I plan on staying indoors and taking down wallpaper in the kitchen, hopefully with Kalie's help.

It's been a really stressful and tiring weekend, but it's all worth it. We'll keep you guys updated!
